Ganesh This variety is developed by the selection method. It is a prolific bearer, fruit very large, rind yellowish red, pinkish aril with soft seeds. It is the commercial cultivar of Maharashtra. The average yield ranges from 8-10 kg per tree.
Ruby red
Ruby red This variety is developed at IIHR, Bangalore. The mature fruits resemble the cultivar 'Ganesh' with respect to shape and size. However, the rind of this variety is reddish-brown with green streaks containing red bold arils. The fruit weighs 270 g with an average yield of 16-18 tonnes/ha.


Dholka

Bhagwa
Bhagwa The 'Bhagwa' variety of pomegranates is a heavy yielder and possesses desirable fruit characteristics. This variety matures in 180-190 days. Bigger fruit size, sweet, bold and attractive arils, glossy, very attractive saffron-coloured thick skin makes it suitable for distant markets.
Fruits have better keeping quality than other varieties ( 15 – 12 days at room temperatures).
Fruits are tolerant to thrips and mites which reduces the number of pesticide sprays, which minimises the cost of production.
Fruits are suitable for long-distant transport due to thick peel (Less weight loss, less possibility of damage due to bruises).
Fruits are with attractive seeds having cherry red coloured and bold arils, which are suitable for both table and processing purposes.
